PRIZE DROP FUNDRAISER for HUDSON GROCERY CO-OP

Hot Air Affair fundraiser for Hudson Grocery Co-op at E.P. Rock school grounds.

Join the fun and watch the Prize Drop event on Saturday, February 3 at 2pm at EP Rock School. Xcel Energy will drop hundreds of numbered balls from a bucket truck onto a target below.

Get your ticket for a suggested donation of $5 for a chance to win a cash prize of $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place or $25 third place prize. Need not be present to win. Receive a free frisbee with your ticket.

Tickets are available online on the Hot Air Affair Square site.

Tickets will also be available on the launch field during Hot Air Affair on Saturday, February 3, prior to the drop at 2pm.

SMOOSH BOARD COMPETITION

Join in Hot Air Affair’s wackiest winter sport with 4 people strapped onto two Smooshboards. Prizes for each member of the competition winning team, and individual prizes for the best “Rockin’ with the Coldies” team costumes. Smoosh boards can be available, but you are highly encouraged to make your own Smooshboards (Skis) for the competition.

GROUNDHOG WEEKEND DIG

This event is changing locations because of lack of snow. It will start at 10:30 am at Angel’s Pet World. Kids age 12 and younger need to share the password and they’ll get a bag of pet treats. Spoiler Alert—in honor of the famous groundhog Punxsutawney Phil, the password is “Phil”!

HOT BALLOON FAT BIKE RACE

NO FAT BIKE RACE THIS YEAR!
Due to lack of snow and poor ice conditions there will not be a fat bike race this year during Hot Air Affair.

The race will be at Lakefront Park on the beautiful St. Croix River, downtown Hudson. Sponsored by Velo Du Nord.

THE COURSE: Fast and technical flow along the St. Croix river bottoms and Lake Front park in Downtown Hudson.  Punchy hills and twisty turns.

NUMBER PICK-UP: 505 1st Street (In the Parking lot by the bath house).

START: 98 Walnut Street, by the HUDSON WI Arch. Please show up at the Start Line: 5 min before your start time READY TO GO!  There will be place to ride around and warm up close by.

FINISH: In front of Bandshell

RESULTS & PRIZES: No prizes on beginner’s community race. Results recorded only for the Top 5 who will be awarded Prizes & Swag.

Two balloon cookie classes offered (at 11am & 1pm) for ages 12 thru adult at Grand Fête, 512 2nd Street, Hudson.

It’s Hot Air Affair in Hudson and we are celebrating by baking cookies with professional baker Diane Hirte. Learn how to easily create and decorate beautiful sugar cookies in balloon shapes. You will be able to take home some goodies plus your own cookie cutter to make more at home! This class is part demonstration as well as participation.

This class is for kids ages 12 through adult.

*This class includes a take-home cookie cutter, 3 cookies, and a take-home information sheet.
