The RiverFest video by Hot Air Affair premiers Friday morning, July 24 at 9 am. Check it out here:
Thanks to Stillwater Balloons, Aamodt's Balloon Rides and River Channel for bringing the joy of flying over the St. Croix River to everyone watching RiverFest!
St.Croix RiverFest starts on Tuesday, July 21...with great virtual programming. Check the schedule and celebrate the St. Croix River. You’ll see the Valley in the summertime, thanks to Stillwater Balloons and Aamodt’s Balloon Rides. We appreciate our HHAA pilots and balloon company partners for sharing the aerial views—tune into the ballooning video on Friday.
The word for special events this year—PIVOT. How do you NOT cancel your festival or event in this time of COVID 19? You pivot—change your previously live event to a digital online gathering of programming. HHAA did video tonight for the new pivoted St. Croix RiverFest coming July 21-25. Thanks to Stillwater Balloons and River Channel for working on the HHAA flying in the Valley video tonight. HHAA pilots Steve Jacobs, Pete Riehle and Keith Knefelkamp were all in the air tonight. A new view with a HHAA flight with green grass and fully foliaged trees. Stay tuned....
Hot Air Affair volunteers were at their sewing machines again with masks made for Woodland Hill. The staff was appreciative of the donation—as part of their COVID 19 safety response. They have a large hand washing station right inside the front door. We also got a thank you note from a postal worker for the masks delivered to the Hudson Post Office.
Hudson Hot Air Affair mask makers were delivering masks again today. Deanna and Brevan Grigus donated their creations to HHAA balloon sponsors Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Suites in Hudson. We learned that it’s nearly impossible for small businesses to buy masks—limited supply and long shipping times if they’re even available plus requirements for large quantity case orders that aren’t needed by a little business and exorbitant prices!
Hot Air Affair seamstresses thanked sponsors and partners for their annual support of the balloon rally and winter festival. Committee volunteers cut and sewed masks for postal employees, City of Hudson public works crew and sponsors WESTconsin Credit Union, The Cellars, Hampton Inn and Minuteman Press. Seamstress Linda White and HHAA President Michelle Webb delivered masks this week.
Thank you to the Hudson Hot Air Affair committee for donating some homemade masks to our office this morning! Lori Rayome, a teller at our Hudson office, is pictured sporting one of the new masks and receiving the donation from HHA committee member, Linda White. #KindnessCounts
